All parents of children aged three to four years can access 15 hours of government funded childcare. It doesn’t matter how much you earn or how many hours you work.
This is applicable from the term after their 3rd birthday. To claim this entitlement in our setting you just need to provide your child’s birth certificate and sign a declaration form.
Your 2-year-old can get funded early learning if you live in England and get any of the following benefits – Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments, the guaranteed element of Pension Credit.
Currently available for working parents of children aged 9mths – 4 years in England::
- Up to 30 hours of early education over 38 weeks of the year. At Sunny Skies Academy you can choose to stretch this entitlement over 51 weeks of the year equating to 22.5 hours per week.
For more information regarding tax free childcare or to apply and confirm funding eligibility please visit: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk If you’re eligible, you’ll get a childcare account and a code which you’ll need to give to the setting, along with your child’s birth certificate and your National Insurance number.
